Another great thing is that there is no need to use the CD because the accompanying files are downloadable online. Finally, electronic version of the book comes with the paper version. I simply downloaded it using the code provided on the last page of the book.
The only downside is that the book is not hard cover. Hard cover would extend the shelf life of this book which I often use as a reference material. I would be willing to pay a higher price if there was a hard cover version available.
This is an excellent reference manual. When I got it, the book appeared to be brand new One person found this helpful. It had been several years since I had used MS Project. After reviewing this book, I was able to get right back into building cost-loaded schedules. Also a great reference material for any functionality that Project had that you may not use on a daily basis. Highly recommend! This is a must have reference document if you use MS Project Very well written.
Provides useful tips and instructions. Microsoft Project is an excellent reference book for both novice and experienced project managers and MS Project users. It is organized logically so novice users can learn Project in an easy to follow manner, and also so experienced users can find specific information quickly. Has been a big help bringing me back up to speed on MS Project.
As usual, I bought several books on MSP, this is the best - I was up and using advanced stuff in a couple hours, easy to re-find stuff, and has an online option so I have it with me always! See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English.
Although the material is good and clear, the chapters are far too long making it a very difficult read for me. I prefer the divide-and-conquer approach where each topic is dealt with in its own separate reasonably sized chapter. With this book, I found I kept the turning the pages hoping that I was coming to the end of the chapter, but finding more to read.
I have only 30 minutes max per day to devote to this book and the chapters require far longer to read and digest.
